Sep. 3rd, 2011 07:16 pmThis hasn't been a particularly pleasant week. I had my yearly so-congested-I-can't-fucking-breathe summer cold, so I spent half of it wearing Breathe-Right strips and mildly high on cold medicine. I also got in a fender-bender with some 17-year-old kid (entirely her fault, since she pulled out in front of me). But her (parent's) insurance is paying for the (pretty minor) damage, thank goodness, and I'm feeling a lot better today.
I went to Border's and splurged on a few books in their going-out-of-sale clearance. I bought the Tsubasa artbook, Not Love But Delicious Foods Make Me Happy by Yoshinaga Fumi, and Indian Givers: How Native Americans Transformed the World by Jack Weatherford. I also bought The Coming Revolution: Struggle for Freedom In The Middle East by Walid Phares, before I realized that Walid Phares is a Fox News expert, which automatically loses him about 5000 points. But I'll see what he has to say, at least. Theoretically speaking, being on Fox News doesn't automatically mean he's full of it.
